Getting ready for the weekend

First, we love the tip about the music group Bev and Bud. Jill even said they sound good, so they must be able to stay in tune, carry a note, and all that. (Things which we McC's aren't too good at).

We are looking forward to Conf. weekend, and are getting all prepared. I like having a little project to work on while we listen, otherwise I get distracted. Maybe it will be a leather sheath this year, or maybe sharpen a knife or two, since hunting season is also upon us. I wonder what kind of guidence and words the prophets and apostles will have for us this time. I wonder what messages we will take home. Will there be a theme this session?

Summer seemed to go late this year for us. Just a couple days ago, it was 80+ degrees. Fall is my favorite time of year. All is getting saftley gathered in. We get to spend time indoors with those we love, without feeling that we should be outside working in the yard, or painting the house. All those outside projects can be put off. The firewood pile is stocked, the kindling is split, the lawn is all cleaned up, and the garden is all but done. Soon the leaves will fall, and the snow will be next.

Hunting season is just a great excuse to get out and enjoy at all that much more. Getting to be out and enjoy the wonderful world is the best part, and if you get to bring home some meat, all the better.

The Holidays are quickly approaching, and it seems like we just got over them. We are hoping we can get the emphisis off the STUFF, and focus more on giving, and what Christmas is really all about. The best part, again, is time together. Working on service projects together is one of my favorite parts. It feels good to tackle a big project, and buckle down, and git'er done.
